Relationship Problems

A lot of relationships are plagued by problems. One or both partners might cheat, or be dishonest in the relationship. Or maybe the relationship has turned abusive. If that is the case, the relationship should end because abusive relationships can rarely be fixed. However, if the relationship is not in trouble because of abuse, there are ways to fix the problems.
- Be honest with your partner. Never go behind their back.
- Love your partner for who he/she is.
- Regularly set aside time for the two of you to spend quiet time together.
- Forgive your partner and ask for forgiveness when you've done something wrong.
- Communicate often.
It is important to remember that if your partner doesn't treat you how to want to be treated, it is time to leave him/her. Lots of people stay in such relationships because they have a problem with relationship addiction-they have to be in a relationship to feel like they have any value. If you feel this way, it is a good idea to get counseling.
There are many great relationship books available on the subject of long distance relationships and regular relationships. Be sure to check your local library or bookstore for those.
