A tongue kiss is simply a kiss that involves the use of the both the girl and the guy's tongues.

Tongue kissing is pretty straight-forward, but difficult for some people to master. It all comes down to following the set of rules for tongue kissing and having decent technique. HIV from French Kissing: Is it possible?

As AIDS became well-known during the 1980s, a rumor about getting HIV from tongue kissing began to spread. This rumor is only partially true.

While the CDC recommends against kissing someone who is infected with HIV, they admit that the risk of infection is extremely low. The CDC has only investigated one case so far where someone was infected due to tongue kissing.

How does infection through tongue kissing happen? Well, if the person who is kissing has HIV and dental problems (like gingivitis), their mouth will likely begin to bleed while tongue kissing. The blood then goes from that person's mouth to the person they are kissing. This is the only way that HIV from French kissing can occur.

If you are married to or dating someone with HIV, it is best to make sure that he/she doesn't have dental problems. If they don't, then tongue kissing is safe.
